One interesting building in the Sighisoara Citadel is the Stag house. A stags head fixed to the wall on the outside of this medieval building.
It was put there in the 16.Century and that’s when the building received its name.
The Stag House is definitely one of the oldest civil buildings in the citadel. In the 13th Century, during the first settling phase, it must have been a simple wood house. It developed through the centuries into a complex architectural masterpiece.
